GIBRALTAR Pacific Productions’ Head of Production, Ken Speed wraps Terminator: Genisys

GPP’s Ken Speed has finished his work as special effects technician on the latest installment of the Terminator franchise series, Terminator: Genisys. Ken is certified and licensed in the required weapons, firearms and high explosives used on set as well as carrying his CPR/AED/Advance First Aid certification for Set medic.
Ken started his career in special effects on the Kojak TV series in 1974 and has worked on a multitude of films and TV including Walker Texas Ranger, The Doors, 3000 Miles To Graceland, Columbiana, God’s Not Dead, The Outsider, Carjacked, Sons of Guns and Left Behind to name a few. Terminator: Genisys is an excellent example of a current film that fully utilizes the vast gamut of Kens skill and expertise in film special effects.
The film, Terminator: Genisys, is the fifth installment of the Terminator series that began with the original film, The Terminator in 1984. The Terminator (1984), is one of the most internationally well known American science fiction films in film history. It was even deemed “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant” by the Library of Congress and marked for preservation in the National Film Registry in 2008.
Terminator: Genisys is starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, and Jason Clarke, directed by Alan Taylor, and produced by Annapurna Films and Skydance Productions (Megan Ellison and David Ellison). Paramount Pictures will distribute the film which carried an approximate $170 million budget and released yesterday, July 1, 2015.
